President Pirc Musar Commends New Slovenian Armed Forces Officers
At a ceremony held in Freedom Square, concluding with a concert, President Nataša Pirc Musar served as the honorary speaker. The event recognized the awarding of ranks to new members joining the Slovenian Armed Forces. In her address, President Pirc Musar expressed her respect and pride for the occasion.
“Every year I attend the ceremony of the awarding of ranks to new officers and soldiers of the Slovenian Armed Forces with respect and pride,” she stated. “I am happy to be able to accompany the enthusiastic, selfless, attached and responsible young people on their demanding and noble professional path in the company of their relatives.”
The President highlighted the significant commitment required to join the military profession. “Becoming a military officer or officer of the Slovenian Armed Forces is by no means an easy decision.
It requires a deep and thorough reflection. The military profession is the mission and personal commitment of each individual to serve the homeland, to take care of the safety of people and to protect the values of our society,” she explained. President Pirc Musar also extended her gratitude to the families of the candidates, acknowledging their support.
The ceremony marked a significant step for these individuals entering service within the Slovenian Armed Forces.
