Stevanović’s month: You will explain this at the court

Resnica Party Faces Pressure Over Member’s Allegations

A heated exchange occurred during a television studio discussion, centering on the Resnica party’s demand for the resignation of party member Boris Mićunović. The core of the debate involved allegations of irregularities surrounding Mićunović’s company, Progros. Responding forcefully, Zoran Stevanović, a prominent figure within the party, vehemently rejected the call for resignation.

He asserted that party members are directly elected by the public, and therefore, demands for their removal originate from outside the party structure. Stevanović argued that the party’s focus has been directed towards criticizing the Resnica party rather than addressing broader public concerns. “The party has been established within parliament for a significant period and potentially possesses a heightened understanding of systemic operations,” Stevanović stated.

“Members are elected directly by voters, and it is inappropriate for other political groups to dictate the terms of their membership or demand resignation.”

The discussion highlighted a disagreement regarding the role of party oversight and the process of removing elected officials. The debate centered on the legitimacy of the party’s request for Mićunović’s resignation.
