Dončić, averaging 33.5 points, 8.3 assists, and seven rebounds per game, played against the Oklahoma City Thunder on Friday night following Slovenian time. The Lakers defeated the Thunder 139-96.
During the game, Dončić scored 12 points before sustaining a muscle injury in the middle of the third quarter, leading to his withdrawal from the contest. Following the game, the Slovenian national team player underwent an MRI scan. The results of the scan revealed that Dončić had suffered a strained muscle injury.
Dončić had previously recorded scores of 40 or more points in his preceding three games.
