Who is the “noter”, who is not? Many well-known faces have remained outside the DZ threshold

The Largher Democrats took part in the elections for the first time following their separation from SDS. Despite anticipating a stronger outcome, they secured six seats. However, none of the original trio who had previously formed the parliamentary group were elected.

Only Anže Logar and Eve Irgl, both long-standing SDS members, and Tineta Novak, previously elected on the Freedom Movement’s list, achieved representation. The Largher Democrats consistently maintained a high level of public support. Despite this, President of the National Assembly Urška Klakočar Zupančič, representing the Freedom Movement, did not succeed in regaining a seat.

Shortly after the results were announced, who she was, she promptly declared her intention to withdraw from political life. Furthermore, prominent figures from the Freedom Movement, including former Minister of the Interior Boštjan Poklukar, were also unsuccessful in the elections. This outcome reflected the broader shifts within the political landscape following the elections.
