Fuel Prices Adjusted Following Government Intervention
The Ministry of Finance has announced regulated price changes for petrol and heating oil, effective immediately. These adjustments aim to stabilize fuel costs for consumers and businesses. For a liter of 95 octane petrol, petrol stations located outside of motorways and expressways will now pay 1.605 euros per liter.
Previously, the price was 1.620 euros per liter. Without regulation, the Ministry estimates petrol stations would have been required to pay approximately 1.772 euros per liter. Alongside petrol, the price of diesel has also been regulated, now set at 1.736 euros per liter.
Furthermore, the Ministry has implemented a reduction in the price of heating oil, which will now be available at 1.386 euros per liter. These interventions are designed to control fluctuations in the fuel market and provide a predictable price point for consumers. The Ministry’s actions follow assessments of market conditions and aim to ensure affordability across various fuel types, measured by the liter.
