Utah Hockey Team Defeats Vegas in First Round Playoff
The Utah Hockey Club secured a victory against the Vegas Golden Knights in their first round playoff match held at the Delta Center in Salt Lake City. Lawson Crouse, the home striker, led the scoring with two goals, contributing to a 4-0 lead in the second third of the game. The initial goal came from Crouse, followed by another in the second third, solidifying Utah’s advantage.
Despite Vegas controlling a higher volume of shots on goal – 32 to 12 – they managed to reduce the score to 1-3 in the final third of the period. A late goal provided Utah with a sense of accomplishment, marking their second consecutive defeat. Utah’s MacKenzie Weegar recorded a goal and an assist, while Clayton Keller contributed with two assists and Dylan Guenther one goal.
