Krvavec Resort Focuses on Year-Round Expansion with Significant Investment
Krvavec, Slovenia – The Krvavec ski resort is navigating the challenges of a consistently mild winter season, a situation mirrored by many similar centers across the Alps. “We have unforgettable mild winters, weather conditions that reflect that it will not be possible to survive only during the winter season,” says Janez Janša, director of RTC Krvavec. Despite the strong brand recognition and continued demand for winter skiing, the resort is actively pursuing year-round development.
For the eighth consecutive year, Krvavec is systematically expanding activities designed to attract visitors outside of the traditional ski season. This expansion is largely supported by a recent investment project totaling approximately 11 million euros, with contributions of eight million euros from the state and the European Union. The investment has facilitated the construction of a new six-seater Zvoh chairlift, featuring heated seats and protective cabins.
Janša acknowledges that without this funding, broadening summer offerings would be considerably more difficult. The resort continues to prioritize diversifying its appeal, recognizing the need to cater to visitors throughout the entire year.
