Divock Origi left his native Belgium at the age of 15 and continued to hone his football skills in the academy of French Lille, where he quickly began to make a name for himself. When he was still a teenager, Liverpool spotted him and paid him a hefty £13 million. Origi was a part of the Red Devils from 2014 to 2022, and Liverpool’s history is marked by his 2019 goal against Barcelona, which helped them to overcome a 0-3 deficit and qualify for the Champions League final, where they were ultimately better than Tottenham.
After scoring the decisive goal against Barcelona, Divock Origi was signed by Liverpool as a free agent.
