Fire in Šiška Building Under Investigation
A fire broke out yesterday evening around 7:00 PM in the cellar of a multi-family building located in the Šiška area of Ljubljana. Ljubljana Fire Department responded to the scene and successfully extinguished the blaze. Simultaneously, police officers secured the perimeter to ensure public safety and facilitate the evacuation of residents.
All individuals residing in the building were safely evacuated as a precautionary measure. Following the completion of the firefighting operation, residents were permitted to return to their apartments. Thankfully, there were no reported injuries related to the incident.
The cause of the fire remains undetermined. Authorities are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the event, including a thorough inspection of the affected cellar area and forensic analysis. The Ljubljana Police Department reports that findings from these investigations will be presented to the competent state prosecutor for further review.
