A traffic accident occurred in Vikrče just before 3 p.m. in which a driver of a passenger car and a cyclist were involved. According to the information collected so far, the accident occurred because the driver took the right of way when turning left at a crossroads and gave way to a cyclist who was coming from the opposite direction, the Ljubljana Police Department said.
The cyclist was seriously injured in the accident and his life is at risk. He was taken to the Ljubljana University Hospital by a rescue vehicle. The police are continuing to collect information about the suspicion of a criminal act.
All findings will be reported to the competent state prosecutor.
