Parliament Leader Addresses Worker Pay Dispute
Parliament President Zoran Stevanović has expressed concern regarding recent business decisions made by colleague Boris Mićo, specifically concerning unpaid wages for workers. Stevanović is urging affected workers to seek assistance. He revealed that he contacted Goran Lukić, a representative for the Workers’ Council, to discuss the situation.
Lukić explained that he initiated the contact, suggesting a meeting to address the issue. “He suggested, as I understood, that we meet to solve the matter,” Lukić stated. Stevanović has pledged to address the outstanding payments, stating he intends to cover them from his own funds.
He is calling upon all workers who were employed by Boris Mićo’s company and have experienced delayed or unpaid wages to approach him for support. However, Stevanović acknowledged his limited expectations of assistance from Goran Lukić, citing his past affiliation with the Left party and describing himself as “politically compressed.” He did offer Lukić the opportunity to contact the workers directly. The situation remains ongoing, with Zoran Stevanović focused on facilitating a resolution for the impacted workers.
