Police are investigating a violent assault that occurred in the Grosuplje area yesterday afternoon. The incident involved a dispute over fishing without permits at a local pond. Initial reports indicate that a physical altercation took place between several individuals and a victim.
According to police, the suspects, accompanied by two women, physically attacked the victim, pushing him into the pond and administering a series of blows. Following the assault, the suspects fled the scene in a vehicle. The victim was immediately provided with medical assistance and transported to the Ljubljana University Hospital for treatment.
Law enforcement swiftly initiated a comprehensive investigation. Investigators conducted a thorough examination of the crime scene, collecting forensic evidence. Utilizing a description of the vehicle and video surveillance footage, police were able to identify and apprehend the suspects.
A 21-year-old and a 19-year-old were taken into custody and are currently in police custody.
