Possible stronger storms: Orange warning for the northeast

Slovenia to Experience Hot Temperatures and Thunderstorms

Slovenia is forecast to experience a significant temperature increase throughout Wednesday, with daytime highs expected to range between 25 and 31 degrees Celsius. The early afternoon will bring warm and humid conditions, particularly within the interior regions of the country. As the day progresses, the potential for thunderstorms will develop, initially concentrated in the north, above Austrian Styria.

Forecasters at ARSO have issued an orange warning due to the possibility of stronger thunderstorms impacting Styria and Prekmurje. These storms could potentially travel southward. Duty forecaster Brane Gregorčič stated, “The most energy for thunderstorms will be available to the north, somewhere above Austrian Styria, some stronger thunderstorms may also travel towards our Styria and Prekmurje, so we issued an orange warning.”

Rainy weather is also anticipated in Ljubljana.

Thunderstorms are expected to begin forming in the Primorska region during the early hours of the night. Residents are advised to monitor weather updates and be prepared for potential disruptions caused by these developing weather systems.
