At approximately 2:00 p.m., the Nova Gorica Police Department (PD) was alerted to the disappearance of a resident from the Dom starejših občanov Vrtojba. The Nova Gorica police immediately initiated a comprehensive search effort to locate the missing elderly man. The search operation was coordinated by the Nova Gorica police and involved a significant mobilization of emergency personnel.
Participating groups included police officers from various villages across the municipalities of Šempeter–Vrtojba and Miren–Kostanjevica, alongside personnel from the City Municipality of Nova Gorica.
