The first incident involved Alex Marquez, who, after experiencing technical difficulties, collided with Pedro Acosta at high speed. Marquez was found motionless on the grass adjacent to the track, leading to a prolonged stoppage of the race.
Following a second restart, another accident occurred. This subsequent crash involved Luca Marini, Francesco Bagnaia, and Johann Zarco. The most severely affected rider in this second incident was the Frenchman.
Fortunately, both Marquez and Zarco were reported to have avoided life-threatening injuries. According to the Spanish team, Marquez sustained a minor fracture of the seventh cervical vertebra (C7) and a broken collarbone, necessitating surgery.
