Patients Left Without Gynecologists Following Unexpected Departure at Slovenj Bistrica Health Center
Slovenj Bistrica – Residents of the Slovenj Bistrica Health Center experienced disruption to their healthcare following the unexpected departure of two gynecologists. Patients scheduled for appointments were notified overnight that their appointments would be canceled, necessitating the search for new medical providers. The issue stemmed from the departure of an external gynecologist, who informed the health center of his intention to leave in the second half of April.
Simultaneously, the remaining gynecologist within the center also announced their leave of absence on Monday morning. Information regarding the departures was initially disseminated through a notice published on the health center’s website. Patients were subsequently informed of the situation.
Health center officials explained that negotiations were ongoing to transition the external gynecologist to a permanent employment contract. The unexpected timing of both departures created a significant challenge for patients reliant on the services. The health center is currently working to address the situation and facilitate a smooth transition for patients seeking gynecological care.
Further updates will be provided as they become available.
