Nika Prevc is second in the first series, Nika Vodan is fourth

The competition season will conclude on Saturday with the athletes’ debut performance on the Gorišek brothers’ ski jump in Planica. Nika Prevc achieved the first position after the initial series, launching a jump of 235.5 meters. This distance, however, was only half a meter shy of her world record.

Nika Vodan followed with a jump of 211 meters, securing sixth place. Slovenian representative Katra Komar recorded a jump of 175 meters, earning 148.5 points and placing her 22nd in the event. Notably, only 20 skiers qualified for the main competition, a feat achieved by Nika.

She outperformed the Swedish competitor, Frida Westman, who jumped 222 meters during the qualifying rounds. This initial jump established Nika as the leader, showcasing her skill and potential within the challenging environment of Vikersund.
