The police responded to several incidents on Friday. Firstly, a damaged outdoor library in Izola was reported. This seasonal facility, only open during the summer months, sustained significant harm.
The perpetrator caused damage to the building’s exterior, its glass panels, and the entrance doors, totaling an estimated 2000 euros, according to the Police Department (PU) Koper. Separately, officers from the Coastal Police received an alert concerning a child bitten by a dog near Koper’s coastline. Upon arrival, they identified the dog’s owner as a 54-year-old German national.
The incident occurred when a young girl, accompanied by her dog on a leash, ran past, prompting the dog to react and chase her, resulting in a bite to her knee. The girl was immediately transported to the General Hospital (SB) Izola for treatment. Following the event, a criminal investigation was launched against the dog’s owner, and a formal letter was dispatched to the UVHVVR.
Finally, at 3:30 pm on Friday, police conducted a check in Črnotiče.
