Is the Easter traffic jam just the beginning of the traffic-intensive season?

Traffic congestion across Slovenia was elevated today, with delays experienced in several key areas. While the majority of the day saw relatively smooth traffic flow, localized disruptions were anticipated due to ongoing roadwork, particularly around Postojna, as well as the typical congestion between Vrhnika and Brezovica, and within the Ljubljana area. Travel times were generally extended by approximately 10 to 15 minutes for most routes.

A traffic accident that occurred around an hour and a half ago at Studenec resulted in a 45-minute delay for journeys passing through that location. Around 11:00 a.m., congestion was reported at the Dragonja border crossing and along the Koper-Isola-Lucija route. Drivers indicated that while delays were present, the situation remained manageable.

The Croatian side experienced no significant congestion. By several hours later, traffic conditions had largely stabilized, with the disruptions caused by the Studenec accident having dissipated. Overall, the day’s traffic flow presented challenges for commuters and travelers, though the extent of delays remained relatively minor compared to initial expectations.
