Janc extended cooperation with Catalan giant

Blaž Janc, a key figure for FC Barcelona, has solidified his legacy with the club following a successful 2024 Champions League season. The 29-year-old handball player joined Blaugrana in 2020 after previously played for Kielce in Poland (2017-2020) and Celje in Slovenia. Throughout his tenure with Barcelona, Janc has consistently reached the Champions League final, achieving significant success.

He secured the title four times – in 2021, 2022, 2024, and 2026 – alongside a third-place finish in 2023 and a fourth-place result in 2025. This year, Barcelona triumphed over Füchse Berlin with a 37-34 victory in the final. Janc’s contributions extend beyond the club level.

He is a prominent member of the Slovenian national team, having played in 135 matches and accumulating 522 goals, ranking him tenth on the team’s all-time scoring list. Notably, he was part of the Slovenian squad that won the 2017 World Cup. The club requires user consent for the integration of social media and third-party content, as well as allowing cookies.
