Piran Residents Arrested Following Violent Home Invasion and Theft
On March 26, 2026, officers from the Piran Police Station investigated a serious incident involving a violent crime and theft in Lucija. A 41-year-old victim was subjected to an attack and robbery at his apartment. According to police reports, the victim escaped from a locked apartment after being forcibly removed by two suspects.
He jumped over a balcony while being beaten, and the suspects subsequently locked him inside the apartment before taking valuable items. The victim, fearing for his life, escaped with the assistance of police who described the situation as involving threats of weapon use. Following the incident, police apprehended a 42-year-old man and a 44-year-old man, both residents of Piran.
A subsequent search of the 42-year-old suspect’s residence yielded evidence related to the crime. During the search, authorities recovered prohibited drugs, including cocaine, heroin, and marijuana, alongside tools indicative of drug sales. Both suspects are currently in police custody.
Investigations are ongoing. The victim is receiving medical attention.
