Golob: I want a broad coalition because of the situation in the world

At a meeting held on Friday, Robert Golob, the president of the Freedom Movement and the election’s leading candidate, engaged in discussions with the heads of the SD, Democrats, Left, Vesna, and Resnice parties. The purpose of the meeting was to explore emergency strategies concerning the impending crisis. Specifically, what types of actions were being considered?

Golob, as he detailed on the 24UR ZVEČER program, noted that the American assault on Iran was already manifesting within the existing energy predicament. He predicted, drawing parallels to the conflict in Ukraine, that this issue would swiftly escalate to impact agriculture and the broader economy. Consequently, Golob stated that the government was proactively developing plans across these three sectors.

Dedicated working groups are scheduled to commence their efforts this week. The discussions centered around several key areas: managing energy supply, particularly the acquisition of crucial reserves, and providing financial assistance to farmers to ensure access to fertilizers at reasonable costs. Furthermore, the group aimed to safeguard farmers from inflated fertilizer prices, ensuring a stable and affordable supply.

Golob’s focus was clearly on implementing swift and decisive measures to mitigate the potential ramifications of the unfolding situation.
