Woodsa were arrested for causing a traffic accident

Following the Tiger Woods accident, Sheriff John Budensiek of Martin County stated that the 50-year-old exhibited indications of intoxication at the scene. Despite these observations, Woods successfully completed an initial alcohol test. “Nevertheless,” Sheriff Budensiek explained, “when a request for a urine test was made, he declined to comply.”

This refusal prompted the formal charging of Mr.

Woods with driving under the influence of alcohol, alongside accusations of causing property damage related to the incident. Furthermore, he is facing charges for refusing to submit to a legal test following the accident. The investigation revealed that despite the initial alcohol test results, there were clear indicators suggesting impairment.

The decision to pursue charges rests on the combination of observed behavior and Mr. Woods’ subsequent refusal to undergo a more comprehensive test. Sheriff Budensiek emphasized the seriousness of the situation, highlighting the need for individuals to cooperate with law enforcement during investigations, particularly after an accident.

The case remains under review, with legal proceedings now underway.
