The Ministry of Infrastructure and Energy has announced that the current fuel prices will remain valid until July 13. The ministry confirmed that the government has not implemented any changes to the existing excise tax structure. Specific excise tax rates were set at 0.41759 euros for 95-octane petrol, 0.33000 euros for diesel, and 0.07875 euros for heating oil.
According to the ministry’s data, if prices were not subject to regulation, the estimated costs for these fuels would be approximately 1.692 euros per liter for petrol, 1.826 euros for diesel, and 1.428 euros for heating oil. The ministry stated that the calculation of future petroleum derivative prices will continue to rely on a methodology factoring in the movement of global petroleum derivatives and the prevailing exchange rate between the euro and the dollar. These model prices are derived using the seven-day averages of mineral petroleum derivative pricing.
For consumers, the established rates for motorways and expressways are as follows: petrol will cost 1.30 euros per liter, diesel will be priced at 1.30 euros per liter, and heating oil will be 1.10 euros per liter. These rates reflect the current application of the established tax structure across various retail points using the euro currency.
