Furthermore, the Logar Democrats affirmed their support for establishing parliamentary investigations and pledged cooperation with such bodies, irrespective of their content or the proposing party. However, the focus of the recent referendum on the parliamentary investigation was not on altering the content of the opposition’s commissions, but rather on defining the procedural conditions under which the investigators would operate. Luka Goršek of the SD characterized these proposals as nonsensical, suggesting they represent an attempt to delay the formation of the investigative body.
Even within other opposition parties, skepticism regarding the utility of these procedural changes persists. The discussion centers on finding a workable path forward for the investigations, with multiple parties offering conditional support or expressing reservations about the proposed mechanisms.
