After complaint already in custody: instead of one month in detention only a few days

Slovenian actress Lara Prgomet, who is from Croatia, has been released from detention. The development followed a court ruling regarding an incident that took place in Dubrovnik over the preceding weekend, during which she was involved in an altercation with two officials. On Tuesday, the court had initially sentenced Prgomet to serve a term of imprisonment.

The sentence imposed was for a duration of one month. However, the non-judicial chamber of the court subsequently granted the appeal filed by her defense counsel, leading to her release. Despite her immediate release from custody, the court stipulated that Prgomet must comply with several ongoing measures.

These conditions require the actress to appear in person at her designated jurisdiction’s police station, specifically the Zagreb Police Office. The court proceedings addressed the actions from the previous weekend. The initial sentence of one month served as the judicial consequence for the incident in Dubrovnik.

Following the appeal, the legal proceedings concluded with her release, though it remains subject to adherence to specific monitoring and appearance requirements set by the authorities.
