A Slovenian cyclist died in the accident in Murter

The accident occurred around 8:50 on local road LC 6250. According to the police, the 75-year-old driver of a personal car with Šibenik registration plates was driving from Jezer towards Betina. When exiting the right turn and on the flat part of the road, he began to overtake an electric bike that was driving in the same direction in front of him.

During the overtaking manoeuvre, there was a collision on the left lane. The front right side of the car hit the rear left side of the electric bike, which was driven by a 67-year-old Slovenian. The police reported that the cyclist did not use a protective helmet during the accident.

The circumstances of the accident are still being investigated.
