Classic Car Race Set to Take Place on Challenging Gorjance Route
A significant motorsports event is scheduled for the Gorjance route, featuring a 4,300-meter race with demanding terrain. The route, stretching from Gornja Teška voda to Velika Cerovec, presents a considerable challenge with nearly 32 bends and a total height difference of approximately 1,000 meters. The event, a European Championship of classic cars, will see 88 registered vehicles compete.
Roughly half of the entrants are classic cars, highlighting the race’s focus on historical motorsport. The race will be led by Formula and Sports Prototype master Vladimir Stankovič, who will start from number one on the Wolf GB08 thunder car. Competing internationally are Syomonna Piekoš with a Mitsubishi Lancer and Karel Krupa with a Škoda Fabia ST.
A strong contender for the national championship is Milan Bubnič, who maintains an undefeated record across four races this year. Organizers are preparing for a major spectacle, and viewers are advised that social media and third-party content integration requires prior permission.
