A Russian tanker with 730,000 barrels of oil is sailing towards Cuba

According to maritime analytics firm Kpler, reporting via The Guardian, the russian tanker Anatoly Kolodkin discharged 730,000 barrels of crude oil from the Primorsk port on March 8th. The vessel, operated by the russian state-owned shipping company Sovcomflot, is slated to reach Matanzas, Cuba, approximately around March 23rd. Separately, the Sea Horse, registered under the Hong Kong flag, loaded nearly 200,000 barrels of diesel fuel from another tanker near Cyprus during the final days of January.

This tanker departed the Mediterranean Sea on February 13th and has since been traversing the Atlantic. Kpler’s data indicates the Sea Horse was situated in the northwest Caribbean Sea yesterday, roughly 1,500 kilometers from the Cuban shoreline. The russian tanker, Anatoly Kolodkin, initially loaded 730,000 barrels of crude oil in Primorsk on March 8th, and is anticipated to arrive in Matanzas, Cuba, around March 23rd.
