She stole a car, blew up a cash machine and fled to Hungary

The police responded to a significant explosion reported yesterday at 4:10 p.m. at a store located in Turnišče. Following the incident, criminal investigators and police officers meticulously examined the scene, gathering crucial evidence and detailed reports.

Prior to the explosion, an unidentified group had committed a vehicle theft within the Maribor Police District. Immediately afterward, the perpetrators fled to Hungary, abandoning the stolen vehicle in a forest area close to the city of Szombathely. Slovenian criminal investigators swiftly contacted Hungarian security authorities, initiating a collaborative investigation.

The Hungarian officers then conducted their own examination of the location. Subsequently, the vehicle was returned to its rightful owner. Initial findings from the police indicated that the perpetrators were unsuccessful in stealing money from a nearby cash machine.

However, they did inflict considerable material damage upon both the cash machine and the store building itself. This coordinated effort involved police and security forces across borders, demonstrating a commitment to resolving the crime.
