Slovenia has collected four medals

Thirteen Slovenian units participated in two drills at the recent competition, competing against 124 units representing 17 nations. The events included a motor spray drill and a 400-meter relay race featuring hurdles. In the motor spray event, the gold medal was secured by the PGD Hajdoše (members B) and PIGD Krka Novo mesto (professional unit of members B).

The silver medal in this category was awarded to PGD Tinje (members A) and PGD Korovci (members B). Regarding the overall competition, Zvonko Glažar, commander of the Slovenian Firefighting Association, noted the high level of international participation. He stated that the competition was extremely competitive, observing that the time differences between countries were minimal, often measured in mere seconds.

Glažar emphasized that in such an event, knowledge and experience are the determining factors for achieving top placements on the podium. He further commented on the performance of the Slovenian contingents, characterizing the top two, second two, and second four placements as commendable achievements. The participation of various units, including those composed of members from different pgd organizations, highlighted the depth of skill within the Slovenian firefighting community.

The results underscore the rigorous training and coordination among the participating units and members across the various pgd branches.
