Mel Brooks celebrates his 100th birthday

Mel Brooks was born on June 28, 1926, in New York to a family of Jewish immigrants from Ukraine. He gained international recognition for his contributions to film parodies and comedies. Following World War II, his career path included working as a drummer in nightclubs, subsequently transitioning into comedy performance.
