The new political coalition’s emergence persists on the political landscape. Golob’s supporters from the left wing now face no immediate concerns; the government of national unity is solidifying, occurring alongside the influence of Janez Janša, the SDS’s prominent figure, who could be supported by a three-party right-wing bloc spearheaded by Jernej Vrtovec, Anže Logar, and Zoran Stevanović. The Social Democrats, led by Matjaž Han, have received a threefold proposal for consideration.

Will they accept this invitation? SD President Han stated he was unaware of the offer throughout the day. However, around 6 pm, he declared, “We will not participate in this arrangement.”

An afternoon meeting of the SD presidium occurred, granting Han the authority to engage in negotiations regarding a potential new coalition.

He affirmed the party’s refusal to join any right-leaning government. “The outcome wasn’t ideal, yet it’s a pragmatic response within the current political circumstances,” he explained.
