Slovenian text: Director Ron Howard, who has signed on for the successes Apollo 13, the Da Vinci Code trilogy and The Amazing Race, has strict rules about who can visit the filming locations of his movies, but that doesn’t always stop those who show up unexpectedly. At the filming of The Amazing Race, which was based on the story of the mathematical genius John Nash (portrayed by Russell Crowe in the film), the famous director did not want to see ‘the real’ Nash. Ron Howard said in an interview with Far Out Magazine: “I asked Nash not to come, because I’ve filmed movies in which I played real people, and I personally never wanted to meet these people,” he explained.
“That’s why I wasn’t too excited about Russell meeting John. I was worried that Russell would feel indebted to John.”
