West End star Mike Sterling shared his positive initial impressions of Ljubljana, the capital of Slovenia. Speaking about his experience, Sterling described the city’s atmosphere as vibrant, noting that the liveliness persists even into the night. He recounted an evening after completing a rehearsal, where he encountered a jazz club.
Sterling spent time there, describing the ambiance as enjoyable. According to Sterling, Ljubljana possesses a rich cultural depth. He also expressed his high regard for the Slovenian people, describing them as wonderful, friendly, hospitable, and naturally pleasant.
He felt that this characteristic of the local population generated a palpable energy throughout the city. Sterling is currently in Ljubljana as part of the 74th Ljubljana Festival. During his visit, he is scheduled to perform at Križanke with the Maribor production of the musical Evita.
The production, noted for being an enduring masterpiece, is described as a must-see performance.
