The luxury villa has arrested one of the most dangerous fugitives

Robert Mazzarella, a 48-year-old mafia boss, was arrested in Vietri sul Mare, Italy, following a police operation. Authorities confirmed that Mazzarella did not resist arrest and was accompanied by his wife and two children during the raid. The operation, which took place at a seaside villa, involved heavily armed police officers and patrol boats.

Footage released by police shows the scene of the arrest. During the search, law enforcement discovered approximately 20,000 euros, three luxury watches, and numerous mobile phones. Additionally, counterfeit personal documents were seized.

Mazzarella had been on the run since January 28, 2025, and was wanted on murder charges. He was listed as one of Italy’s most dangerous escapees by the Ministry of the Interior. The Mazzarella clan is recognized as one of the most powerful and organized Mafia groups operating within Italy.

The arrest marks a significant development in the ongoing efforts to combat organized crime in the region.
