The Croatian football legend has passed away

The former footballer, born in Mursko Središće and who passed away there, enjoyed a distinguished career with Dinamo Zagreb. He played a total of 304 official matches for the club, placing him fifth among all Zagreb ‘blue’ players to achieve legendary status. Following his time in Zagreb, the player moved to Karlsruhe in Germany, where he continued his professional career and served as the team’s captain.

Throughout his career, he represented Yugoslavia in 11 matches and later Croatia in two appearances for the national team. These appearances contributed to his overall legacy as a respected and accomplished athlete. His time with Dinamo Zagreb, particularly his significant number of appearances, solidified his place as a key figure in the club’s history.

Similarly, his leadership role and performance with Karlsruhe were also recognized. The player’s career spanned both Yugoslav and Croatian national team representation, adding to his sporting achievements.
