Axel Laurance secured victory in a thrilling stage of the race, marking a significant moment in the competition. The stage featured a challenging course with three categorized ascents, a configuration that initially prompted numerous attempts at breakaway attacks. Competitors sought to escape the main pack, presenting difficulties in controlling the actions of potentially hazardous cyclists.
