Two hours of parking at the SP is twice as expensive as a ticket for Euro

The 2028 European Championship will be held across England, Scotland, Ireland, and Wales. A significant portion of the available tickets, approximately 40%, will be allocated to the two most economical ticket categories. Uefa is aiming to mirror the pricing structure of the previous European championship, which took place in Germany.

During that event, the cheapest group tickets ranged from 30 to 60 euros. Uefa intends to maintain these prices for the 2028 competition. President Aleksander Čeferin, leading Uefa, holds the European Championship trophy.

This approach stands in sharp contrast to the contentious pricing strategy employed by the International Football Association (Fifa) for this year’s World Championship, hosted in the USA, Mexico, and Canada. Fifa initially reduced ticket costs under public scrutiny, offering a limited selection at just 52 euros. Reports indicate that the average parking expense for matches during this year’s World Championship in the USA is 152 euros.

This cost is observed outside MetLife stadium near Newark, New Jersey, representing a notable financial consideration for attendees of this two-major sporting event.
