Two accidents due to unadapted speed: two drivers died on the scene

Two separate incidents involving serious injuries and fatalities occurred in Slovenia on Tuesday. Initial reports indicate that a tragic accident took place in Višnja Gora, where an 85-year-old driver lost control of his vehicle. The cause was attributed to driving at an unadapted speed along a gentle curve, leading to a collision with a grassy embankment.

The driver sustained such severe injuries that he tragically died at the scene. Police are presently gathering further information and will subsequently report their findings to the relevant state prosecutor. Simultaneously, Ljubljana police responded to a different incident on Avšičeva cesta.

Here, a 29-year-old driver also lost control due to driving at an unadapted speed, subsequently driving off the road and impacting a tree. The driver in this second incident suffered critical injuries and, unfortunately, died at the scene. His 33-year-old companion sustained injuries as well.

Both incidents highlight the dangers of excessive speed and its potential consequences. Investigations are ongoing, and authorities are committed to a thorough examination of the circumstances surrounding these devastating events.
