The United States accused Raúl Castro of conspiracy to destroy the plane and murder Americans

The indictment states that Raul Castro, as Cuba’s defense minister, personally ordered the shooting down of the Brothers to the Rescue (Bratje na pomoč) Cuban-American organization in 1996, killing four people, including three Americans. Raul Castro and Raúl Guillermo Rodriguez Castro, the 94-year-old former president, brother of Fidel Castro, are accused of conspiracy to kill Americans, destroy planes, and murder, and the indictment also covers several other individuals. “Nearly 30 years of the family of the four murdered Americans are waiting for justice,” said Todd Blanche, acting U.S.

Attorney General in Miami, adding that his message in the indictment is clear: “The United States and President Donald Trump will not forget and will not forget their citizens.” Raúl Castro succeeded his brother Fidel Castro.
