The time for the third issue of the people’s bonds to be issued is over

The third issue of people’s bonds was released on March 16th. The Ministry of Finance adjusted the annual interest rate, increasing it from 2.6% to 3.0% reflecting shifts in debt capital markets. This bond carries a three-year maturity, and its issuance isn’t fixed, relying on investor interest.

The state retains the right to offer fewer bonds than the total number of registrations from investors. This flexibility ensures responsiveness to market demand. The bonds are available for purchase until noon through a widespread network of branches.

Specifically, the issue can be completed at 68 branches of NLB, 71 branches of OTP bank, eight branches of BKS Bank, and via the brokerage house Ilirika across 14 of its own branches and 288 branches of the Slovenian Post. This broad distribution maximizes accessibility. The bonds are targeted towards natural persons residing in Slovenia with permanent or temporary residency.

Importantly, this time, individuals can also register bonds on behalf of minors. A minimum investment of 1000 euros is required for the purchase of these bonds.
