According to Švab, Lev repeatedly requested that his father wipe away his tears, a sentiment that profoundly impacted him. These words became the foundation for the song’s first verse. “My son Lev always asked me to wipe away his tears when he cried.
His consistent repetition of this phrase deeply moved me and remains a central element of the song,” Švab explained following the release. The song was developed collaboratively with a group of friends and musical collaborators. “Wipe Away My Tears” marks the beginning of a new series of songs that the Modrijani plan to showcase.
