Significant Reconstruction Progress on Primorska Motorway
The extensive reconstruction project on the Primorska motorway, encompassing pavement improvements, Ravne facilities, and a rest area, commenced in March of last year. Originally slated for completion by November 2023, the project’s progress is currently underway. The works, totaling 9.9 kilometers of the motorway’s main carriageway, are being undertaken by a consortium comprised of Kolektor CPG, CPK, and GP Krk.
The contract value, excluding VAT, amounts to 26.6 million euros. Recent developments have seen the construction site established in Postojna, with nighttime works now implemented. This decision was announced by Minister for Infrastructure and Energy Jernej Vrtovec upon assuming office and was accompanied by a site visit last week.
According to estimates provided by the contractor, Kolektor CPG, the reconstruction is progressing steadily. While the initial timeline was missed, the project remains a key initiative for improving motorway infrastructure. Further updates on the completed sections of the works will be provided as they become available.
