Croatia has consistently faced elevated fuel prices, according to reports from the Croatian portal, Net.hr. The ongoing escalation of tensions in the Middle East and the subsequent closure of the Hormuz Strait are contributing to rising fuel costs globally, and Croatia is not exempt from this impact. Previously, fuel prices in Croatia had already surpassed those in neighboring Slovenia.
Starting Tuesday, a substantial increase in fuel prices is anticipated. A photograph of a Croatian petrol pump illustrates the situation. The Croatian government has responded to these concerns with a new set of measures designed to shield households and the economy from the surge in prices.
These measures include the establishment of new maximum retail prices for fuel. Despite these governmental interventions, petrol prices at Croatian stations will increase significantly. At midnight, fuel will cost 1.62 euros per liter, a rise of 12 cents from the current 1.55 euros per liter.
Similarly, diesel prices will jump to 1.73 euros per liter from tomorrow, representing an additional 12-cent increase on the current price of 1.55 euros. These changes reflect the broader global impact on fuel prices within Croatia.
