The prosecutor in Eisenstadt confirmed on Thursday that the results of the comparative analysis show a match between the two samples. Investigators found poison at the address of the 39-year-old suspect in St. Gilgen near Wolfgangsee.
Prosecutors warn, however, that the expert opinion alone does not prove that the poison is the same or that the suspect is directly connected to the contamination of the products. According to the prosecutor’s representative, Petra Bauer, this is an additional indicator in the investigation, reports krone.at. In mid-May, it was already found that the amount of rat poison in baby food jars would not be fatal.
However, it was high enough to cause health problems, especially in small children. The case has caused great concern in Austria, as it was about products.
