In the 2025/26 season, she was an important member of the team, as she started 23 of 26 league matches. Sara Agrež has a significant role in the national team, for which she made her debut in June 2019. To date, she has made 57 appearances.
Agrež began her football career in NK Žalec, then played for ŽNK Rudar Škale, ŽNK Radomlje and ŽNK Pomurje. In 2019, she moved to Germany, where she first wore the uniform of Turbine Potsdam. Later, in January 2024, she moved to Cologne.
