The Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Food recently initiated a significant change regarding the creation of expert assessments within the agricultural sector. This alteration stemmed from a law amendment enacted last December, fundamentally shifting the process of developing these crucial evaluations. Previously, external contractors handled the preparation of these expert bases.
Now, the ministry assumes responsibility for conducting them nationwide. The initial expert basis was released on the ministry’s website on March 19th. The ministry intends to maintain this document with updated information annually, ensuring publication by January 31st of each subsequent year.
According to the ministry’s announcement, this expert basis provides visual data illustrating agricultural land based on its suitability for designation as permanently protected agricultural land or other agricultural land types. These proposals are classified according to established legal frameworks. The ministry’s aim is to provide a comprehensive resource for assessing agricultural land and supporting informed decision-making within the agricultural sector.
