The team secured their first home win in the previous match on Tuesday, decisively defeating the South Tyrolean rivals 4:0 at Tivoli. Prior to this success, the Dragons had faced defeat in the initial three regular league games, with both the fourth and sixth placed teams claiming victories.
The Ljubljana team fought hard, ultimately winning 3:2 in extra time and again 3:2 within their own city. Despite the positive outcome of today’s match, the Dragons had to exert considerable effort to secure a conclusive win. This victory also afforded them a welcome period of respite.
Several key players were unavailable due to injury, including Jan Drozg and Nik Simšič, who were already sidelined. Bolzano responded with determined resistance following the game’s conclusion.
