The government convened a special session today and resolved to deploy up to 30,000,000 liters of diesel fuel from Slovenia’s oil derivative security reserves. This action was undertaken to guarantee a dependable supply of oil, addressing significant disruptions within the global market. The Republic of Slovenia Institute for Commodity Reserves announced the decision.
The institute specified that designated recipients would be granted access to the oil. These eligible users include companies that have fulfilled their obligations regarding the establishment of mandatory oil reserves. Specifically, the recipients encompass Petrol, Mol INA, Mol plc., Logo energy, F.
Leitner, Münzer bioindustrie GmbH, Kuwait petroleum, and MI oskrba. The amount of oil each recipient receives is directly linked to their prior contributions towards the creation of these compulsory reserves. The allocation reflects a proportional share of the compensation paid over the preceding year.
This strategic move by the government aims to mitigate supply challenges and maintain operational stability within key sectors reliant on oil.
